Five rooms, one dorm, and a real difference in what each one gives you — here's how to pick.

SamathaStay has five private rooms and one shared backpacker dorm, and the differences between them aren't just cosmetic — they come down to how much outdoor space you get and how much you're sharing it. Here's how the options actually break down.
These are the Himalayan and Valley View Balcony Rooms. Room 1 has a private balcony; Rooms 2 and 3 share one. All three look straight out at the Panchachuli range and the valley. If mornings with your own coffee, in your own space, watching the light hit the peaks is the whole point of the trip, Room 1 is worth booking early. If you're travelling with someone you don't mind sharing a balcony with, Rooms 2 and 3 give you the same view for less of a premium.
The Himalayan and Valley View Rooms trade the balcony for a private outside seating area instead — same mountain and valley views, just a different kind of outdoor space. Good middle ground if you want to be outside without sharing that space with another room.
Shared bunk beds at a fraction of the cost of a private room, with the same hot water and Wi-Fi as the rest of the property. The one thing it doesn't have is the view — worth knowing before you book if that's a dealbreaker. What it's good for instead is meeting other travellers passing through Munsiyari.
Regardless of which one you pick: free Wi-Fi, a hot water geyser, RO drinking water, on-site parking, CCTV, and access to a common area with board games and a small meditation/puja room. Heaters, bonfires, and laundry are available at extra charge, mainly through the colder months.
“The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained with great mountain views. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay.”
